About Me:

I was born in New Orleans and my family moved to Kansas when I was a baby. I grew up in Overland Park and Olathe, and had a brief stent in Lawrence trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I didn’t find those answers at KU, I came back to the suburbs. 

I moved around a bit while working and just "figuring out life" but always stayed in the area. I have my Associates in Criminal Justice from Johnson County Community College, my Bachelors in Social-Psychology with a concentration in Human Development from Park University, a Masters in Social Welfare and a graduate certificate in Global & International Studies with an emphasis on Haiti - both from the University of Kansas.

I met my husband Eric in 2012 and we got married in 2016. We have two children, a four year old boy and a one year old daughter. I love traveling, planning events and a nice glass of Pinot Grigio.

I also love finding new local restaurants and businesses to support, volunteering, spending time with my friends and family, and advocating for others. In addition to working full time as a social worker at an elementary school, I also have a personal blog I share with a family member - where we write about anything and everything.
