Mark Your Calendar for the Upcoming Garmin KC Air Show!

By Brittany Marsh July 3, 2023

Don't miss out on the excitement of watching magic in the skies! The Garmin KC Air Show will be returning on August 19-20, 2023. This year's show will feature the US Navy Blue Angels, the US Air Force F-22 Raptor, and the US Marines F-35b Lightning II. Additionally, there will be STEM exhibits that include VR simulations and static aircraft for you to explore. This event is perfect for the entire family!

About the performers:

  • The mission of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels is to showcase the teamwork and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps through flight demonstrations and community outreach while inspiring a culture of excellence and service to the country.
  • The Blue Angels use a US Marine Corps C-130J Super Hercules, affectionally called "Fat Albert" for their logistics. It helps by carrying spare parts, equipment, and support personnel to the show.
  • The U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team performs precision aerial maneuvers at airshows across the world to demonstrate the unique capabilities of the world's premier 5th generation fighter aircraft.
  • The U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lighting II is equipped with short takeoff and vertical landing capability that expands its range by allowing it to operate from naval vessels.
  • Randy W. Ball is North America's Premier Jet Demonstration Pilot. During his demo in the MiG-17F, he routinely pulls 8gs, and reaches speeds approaching 700mph, all while sometimes flying less than 100 feet off the ground.
  • Vampire Airshows' mission merges entertainment and education.
  • For over 50 years, Franklin's Flying Circus have delivered a legendary mix of flying, showmanship and entertainment.
  • Kyle Fowler from Go EZ Aerobatics will be a show stopper. Kyle's plan, the Long EZ, is the perfect combination of comfort and style. Although it is not capable of aggressive aerobatics, this small airplane has an impressive range of 1000nm and cruises at speeds of 160 knots.
  • Aaron Fitzgerald is part of the Red Bull Air Force helicopter team. The members of the Red Bull Skydive Team have over 100,000 skydives and over  6,000 BASE jumps combined.

About the exhibits:

  • The Precision Exotic experience offers the opportunity to test your driving skills with exotic cars. There are two experiences to choose from: Precision Autocross and Precision Extreme Drive.
  • Flying a fighter jet is a one-of-a-kind experience that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world. Unfortunately, few people have the opportunity to pilot these magnificent machines and it remains a dream for many. But with DreamBIG, you can make that dream a reality by getting behind the cockpit of the TOPGUN "Maverick" F-18.
  • Speaking of Maverick and Iceman, this is a perfect opportunity to take an unforgettable photo with your family, and fool your friends with our Top Gun photo-op.
  • Experience the most advanced and powerful air force in the world with this exciting mobile tour. This unique VR experience is divided into two parts. Visitors have the opportunity to pilot an F-16 fighter through a canyon using a real-life throttle and flight stick, or operate a replica KC-135 boom pod to refuel several airborne aircraft, including a B-2 Stealth Bomber. Do you have what it takes to soar to new heights? This is just one of many aviation and STEM-based experiences you can enjoy at the Garmin KC Air Show on August 19th and 20th at the New Century AirCenter.
