The Spring Hill Clothes Closet is volunteer led and 100% of business, school and donations go to the community. We provide much-needed items like new underwear, heaters, air conditioners, fans, and clothing. Any and all donations are given back to the community free of charge, and we extend our services to anyone in Johnson and Miami Counties.
Some of our current needs are:
- Monetary donations (one time and recurring)
- Canned food, vegetables, meats and soups
- Paper products
- Cleaning supplies
- Pet food (dog and cat) and cat-scratching items - these are important to help keep families together
- Dawn dish soap
- Non-slip bath mats
- Miniature lotions, soaps and body sprays
- Bar soaps
- Fuzzy socks
- Lip balm
- Trash bags
- Hams
- Turkeys
Spring Hill's Clothing Closet is a wonderful resource for those in need of clothing assistance. The organization provides free clothing to individuals and families who may be struggling financially or going through a difficult time. The Clothing Closet accepts donations of gently used clothing from the community, and volunteers work to sort and organize the items so that they are easily accessible for those in need.
With a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, the Clothing Closet is a great place for individuals to find the clothing that they need while also receiving support and compassion from the volunteers. If you or your business like to volunteer, please contact Barbie directly at 913-593-4636 or via email.
We also deliver donated items to nursing homes in the area. During the holiday season, we offer extra support to the elderly, victims of domestic violence, single parents, and veterans. Each year, we expand our efforts to cover as many nursing homes as possible in the area.
Here are some ways you can help this holiday season:
- Fill a stocking from a nearby nursing home
- Sponsor a child in state custody and shop their wishlist
- Sponsor a local family and shop their wishlist
- Sponsor a veteran and shop their wishlist
Everyone deserves a wonderful Christmas and so we try to help with this!
