Christmas "Whoville" Parade of Lights in La Cygne - December 10
Get ready for some festive fun with this year's "Whoville" theme (though it's not mandatory)! Showcase your creativity and brighten up the parade for a chance to win one of three prizes. The parade is free to enter, just let us know if you plan on participating. Line up starts at 5pm at the Christian Church, following the Christmas on Broadway event. The parade will travel down Broadway and end in the Beachner's parking lot. But wait, there's more! After the parade, head to Thayer park for the Mayor's Christmas tree lighting, and snap some photos with the Grinch and Santa.

Christmas in the Park in Gardner's Cornerstone Park - November 27
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The 33rd Annual Christmas in the Park holiday event kicks off with the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Cornerstone Park. Seasonal music will be performed by area school children. The event will include a Christmas-time message from Mayor Todd Winters and the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. A lucky individual will be selected to flip the switch that turns on thousands of beautiful lights throughout the park. Following the festivities, don't miss visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus at Santa's Workshop in Cornerstone Park!

Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony and Christmas Parade - November 25
The holiday season is right around the corner and we can't wait to celebrate the countdown to Christmas! The annual Mayor's Tree Lighting will be taking place in downtown Ottawa on November 25. The intersection of Main Street and 2nd will be blocked off for the holiday festivities. Activities include: lighting of the downtown, Christmas carols, cookie decorating, ornament making, hot chocolate, children's bike raffle, and of course photos with Santa! Make sure to stay for the Christmas parade that makes its way down Main Street once the lights are on.
