As the sun beats down and the temperatures rise, it's always great to have some cool relief nearby. Whether you're looking to take a refreshing dip in a pool or enjoy some water fun at a splash pad, this local summer survival guide has got you covered. With a variety of options just a stone's throw away, you can beat the heat and make the most of the sunny days ahead. So grab your swimsuit, sunscreen, and shades, and get ready to dive into some summer fun right in your own backyard!




Spring Hill Aquatic Center: 
20900 Sycamore Drive, Spring Hill, KS 66083 | Monday-Saturday Noon-8pm & Sundays Noon-6pm
The aquatic center will commence operations on May 26 and conclude its season on August 11. Amenities include: a zero-depth entry, lazy river, multiple slides and diving boards. There's also a climbing wall, floating obstacle course, toddler area, and a spray feature.

Gardner Aquatic Center: 
215 N. Center Street, Gardner, KS 66030 | Daily from 12:30pm-7pm
The aquatic center will commence operations on May 25 and conclude its season on August 4. Entry fee stands at $8, with varied discounts contingent on age and entry time. Noteworthy features include a zero-depth entry, a relaxing lazy river, several water slides, various spray areas, and a designated pool for toddlers.

Baldwin City Pool: 
317 Fremont St, Baldwin City, KS 66006 | Daily from 12:30pm-7pm
Daily admission is $4 and the pool opens May 27. Elevate your experience with our variety of amenities, such as concessions, shaded shelters, picnic tables for unwinding, and two shade canopies for added comfort. Feel the thrill on our 30-foot slide or showcase your abilities on the diving board. Unwind in the zero-depth entry area or push your limits in one of our six 25-yard lap lanes.

Ottawa's Forest Park Pool
310 N. Locust St., Ottawa, KS 66067 | Daily from 12:30pm-7pm

Ottawa's Forest Park Pool
Southeast corner of City Park - E Park St and S Hickory St
This project's projected opening date is June 1, 2024. The splash pad will be activated by pushing a button and will operate on a timer.

De Soto Aquatic Center: 
32907 W 84th Street, De Soto, KS 66018 | Daily from 12:30pm-6pm
Daily admission is $5 and the pool opens May 25. This pool features a climbing wall, diving boards and fun water slides.

Eudora Aquatic Center: 
1630 Elm Street, Eudora, KS 66030 | Monday-Thursday 1pm-7pm & Friday-Sunday 1pm-6pm
The facility opens May 31 with $4 admission.

Wellsville's City Pool: 
6th and Maple, Wellsville, Kansas 66092 | Monday-Saturday 12pm-7pm & Sunday 1pm-5pm
Use of the baby pool is free to the public. Otherwise admission is $3.
